Grapes: 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino
In recent years, growers in the “Colli Fiorentini” (Easterly) sub-zone of Chianti have been working towards a richer, more elegant style of wine, compared to the more traditional earthy, spicy rusticity of their peers.
This wine is fine with fresh notes of red fruit, typical of the perfect condition of the fruit at the time of pressing. It is well-balanced, with a certain acidity and earthy notes which lead to a satisfying finish. A wide variety of recommended food pairings include chicken, game, red meats; wild boar. Hearty stews in winter and barbeques in the summer.
