White truffles – order for collection Monday 18 December 2023

This is your opportunity to pre-order an Alba white truffle (Tuber Magnatum Pico) for collection or overnight shipping on Monday 18 December.

Pay your deposit on this page before midday on Friday 15 December.

You must indicate your interest by ordering and paying in 100g increments at the indicative price of £250 per 100g, before midday on Friday 15 December.

The dogs and trufulao will snuffle your truffles that same night, and we will travel to collect them from Alba on Saturday morning.

There are a few important rules to understand before placing your order. These are as follows:

It is possible that no truffles will have been found, in which case we will refund your payment immediately.

The truffles will not match your exact weight specification, so in making your payment you authorise us to use our discretion to a maximum of 10% weight difference in either direction. You must select one of the “Max. weight variations” options.

Please have your phone available for us to call you on the morning of Saturday 16 December. If we need your authorisation to proceed, but you are not available, we will not make the purchase and will refund your deposit payment.

The price varies daily and can sometimes jump or fall considerably, relative to the day before. Your deposit payment confirms your understanding of this, and a change in per kg price will not be accepted as grounds to cancel the order.

Once the final weight and price of your truffle has been determined, we will send a request for the final payment if it exceeds the amount you have paid, or send you a payment if it falls short of that amount.

Our priority is that you receive your white truffle in perfect condition. This is a fresh product and must be used immediately. It is not intended for Christmas Day.

The truffles will be transported in secure, airtight, refrigerated packaging.

If you want us to to courier it to you, or as a gift, we will do so overnight – using special sheepswool insulated packaging and chiller blocks – on Monday, for delivery Tuesday. We cannot be held responsible for a deterioration in quality if the recipient is not there to receive it. Delivery is £10 – select this option at checkout.

If you live in the Highlands or Islands, Northern Ireland or any other island of the British Isles, do not order this item, as it will take too long to reach you.

If you change your mind and decide against the purchase before we have bought your truffle, then let us know and we will refund your deposit payment minus 10%. You will lose 10% of your deposit payment. Once we have bought your truffle there will be no refunds, and you will be liable for the full amount due.
